What is quality time with your partner in life?

I am currently at home sitting on the couch. My fiancee is on the loveseat reading a book and my soon-to-be mother-inlaw has the baby for a few hours. I would love to take our free-time watching a movie and just enjoying a pieceful night together. On the other hand, my fiancee wants to sit on the computer and reply to discussions/add discussions and wants me to go spend time with friends. My understanding of quality time is to be,do,and spend time with your significant other. Or is quality time with someone just enjoying the other persons presence? Whether it be on the computer, reading a book, watching a movie, sleeping, cooking, etc. I am a bit confused and need help to identify the true meaning of quality time.

Quality time for my boyfriend and I is when we go out hiking and talking even when we talk on the phone we see it as quality time because we talk about different things. We can sit on the computer together and talk to each other. If you are in different rooms and not communicating together it's not much quality time.

Quality time is subjective. You and your partner would have to be the ones defining on what quality time is all about. Some guys may think that the reason why you would like to go out with him is because you are bored at home. He may not see that you want to spend time with him outside the house coz that is how you define quality time. Other guys may think that as long as you are together, talking, conversing, sharing a part of your life with each other, can be called quality time.
Again, there is no Universal Meaning of Quality time. it has to be defined by people sharing the time. Quality, after all, is dictated by an agreement.

I think that if you have been with someone with a certain amount of time you dont ALWAYS have to do things together. For instance we were in the same room together. We werent apart. If our realationship was like this all the time then it might pose as a problem . I love you!
