MY experiences with the wonders of garlic and ginger

I have never been crazy about too much garlic or ginger. But about 4 years ago, my sister learnt the healing properties of garlic and ginger. I thought she was a fruitcake but been my eldest sister I tried it as she suggested. She also introduced me to liquidised wheat grass. First of all the wheat grass - sorry but it looks like grass, it smelt like grass and I am damn sure the taste was exactly what grass would taste like - so no more of that for me thanks! The garlic and ginger however, was much easier to swallow and I have proven to myself and to close friends that it really is good for you. Garlic is a natural anti biotic - I have not had flu or bronchitis since I started taking it..I used to suffer with bronchitis at least twice a year before swallowing just one clove a day. Either cut it up into little pieces or if small enough just swallow like a pill. The ginger took a little while longer to acquire? the taste (or was it just mind over matter). Just slice a piece and pop it into your black tea (also better for you than with milk)or slice a piece and chop it up into tiny tiny little pieces...you will eventually get the taste of it and want to eat the little pieces too..if not just swallow them in a mouthful of tea. Ginger is a natural anti inflamatory.

I've always eaten garlic and ginger, which I attribute to my mum's cooking, as a Greek/Lebanese woman, and yes, our family has always had really good health. I absolutely love ginger teas, with a nice tea spoon of honey and a squeeze of lemon, and garlic has to be in every dinner meal that I make, it adds such a great flavour, not to mention the health benefits. I also love to make my own fresh juices, and always add ginger to these, and usually a sprinkling of mint. Refreshing, delicious and so good for you! =D
