Are you the type that sets goals in life and you do whatever it takes to reach them, or do you kinda just let life happen around you and take it as it comes? I believe that we all set some goals in life though we may not have them written down as such. Be it a new auto, place to live, better job, write a book, or to just relax this weekend. How about you, do you generally set them and write them down, or set them and forget them? I seldom write them down and sometimes I do forget them or either I change them as my life changes.

Sometimes opportunies do work against us. Perhaps when we set goals, we should consider alternate ways for achieving them in case this does happen.

I have a goals and do everything to reach them and yes I write all the way to reach the goals of mine and look at everyday. In my opinion this the only way to reach my goals. If you forgot what you had write to reach your goals it sayes that maybe you are not interested or in a dilemma or not serious.

When I was younger I set major life goals, at least they were major to me. My goals were: 1. Become a chearleader. I've done that. 2. Graduate High School. I've done that. 3. Get married. I've done that, although more than I wanted. 4. Have three children. I did that and then got married and ended up with five. Even better! 5. Get a degree as a teacher. Working on it. 6. Become a teacher. Working on that too. I am a substitute teacher right now. Those are the goals that are most important to me.

Wow, you've not only said it all, but you have done pretty much all you have set before you....Congrats....The only thing I can say to that is....thanks for choosing to be a teacher. If you have the passion that you seem to have in your response, you'll not only achieve it, but you will do very well at it too.

I have always heard that when you set goals, you should write them down, but you should write down your plans for achieving them as well. If you just list what you want, but not how to go about getting it, it is very easy to fall short. When you list the steps for achieving your goals, they become mini goals. This allows you to see your progress and motivates you to continue on.

I don't write down plans. I am not the type that set strict goals in life and do whatever it takes to reach them. I am more of the type the let life happen as it comes. Yes,there are certain plans or activity that I do, like having a family outing, or having target date / time to finish my work, or just the plan that we have for our kids education, but bigger goals for me and my family, I just don't have. Whatever comes our way, with the Lord's guidance and blessings, I gladly do and accept the outcome.

I used to hear it during seminars and some briefings that its best to write down your goals or dreams in life. It is even better to put a picture of your dream/s near your bed so you could see it everytime you wake up in the morning. The more you see it the more that you will do your best and find ways to reach that goal or to have that particular thing that you want in your life. Good that you do it, I got some goals and dreams in life too but I just leave it in my mind though I also do my best to at least reach those and be realized.

Goals are made to be adjustable because like it or not life can at times interfer and send you in another direction altogether. So no i haven't ever had written in stone goals but i did have a direction and things that i wanted to accomplish.

I do both. There are some things I am passionate about and set goals to achieve. Others that I am dispassionate about and simply let happen. Those things that I am passionate about I have plans for and work hard to achieve. Many of these are long-term goals that I track in a plan that is written down and has milestones.

I have heard throughout my life that goals are easier to achieve if they are written down.
