I look up my dreams all the time! I have a few different dream books I think I like to think i know what the little things in dreams means and sometimes. It helps me make decisions in my day to day life, and the advice can usually be used positivly. If anyone would like to know what something means include it here and i will reply to all posters the best i can.

I did look up a book on dream interpretation but could not bring myself to take it seriously so I never did try to interpret my dreams except in the context of my own knowledge and experience. Dreams are nice but I prefer the waking kind of dreams. I have enough problems with my own life without adding my sleeping life's problems.

Yeah, I agree it is not for everyone. The similarities in the predictions and story of your life is well indicated in your dreams, i am too curious to let it be. I think that dreams should not rule your life but my opinion it is your subconcious trying to guide you in life. Sometimes we know things we are not willing to admit or share with others, this is where are dreams come in to help us make the right decisions or stand back and look at where we are heading.

This is an anxiety dream, it is caused from mental anguish or the sense of not knowing how to deal with a big problem. Other things can cause these dreams like a sense of overwhelment that you can't escape from even in your dreams. I think your war dreams could also be a development of this as you have grown older and need more to achieve the same feeling of fright.

When I have a memorable dream I try to interpret its meaning myself. I know if it is an anxiety dream, because that sort is usually a repetitive dream and often it is about work or getting lost. The night before last I had a wonderful dream in which I was taking part in a television quiz show. It was something like Mastermind where you have to answer on general knowledge. Anyway I won and it felt so good because I wasn't expecting to win and I did not realize until I was told I was the winner. There was no big prize money, just the prestige of winning. I started getting a lot of exciting invitations, because I was a winner. Then I woke up, and the feeling of happiness at what I had achieved stayed with me, even though I had only done it in a dream.

A winning dream like you describe is an indication of a major defeat. Most of the time this is a positive thing. Like in your dream winning in life doesn't always mean huge prizes but usually a big success in your relationship, career or money situation.

I have never looked up my dreams but it sounds interesting. I had a really strange dream last night I was just telling my husband about I felt something drop into my bed and when I looked over there was a rat, yikes so I called out my husbands name to help me cz I was just frozen and then I woke up and of course nothing was there...and I actually thought i was awake at the time which gives you a very scary feeling. I used to have a reoccuring dream years ago about a dark figure standing over top of me and I would try like crazy to wake myself up and I felt like I couldn't move or I would try to scream but couldn't...glad I don't have that one anymore, what do you think that meant?

dreaming about rats often indicates that you will cheated in a deal or realitionship. A dark figure is also a bad indication as you probably figured. The brain can interpret things in many different ways and a large dark figure "ver the top of you" could be caused from a lots of different things such as bills, problems or guilt. Sorry your dreams were not on a happier note.
