I was stone cold sober. It was winter, ice on everything. I was coming back from the store, walking, wearing athletic shoes, and slipped off of a curb, sat on my ankle, and broke it. I had a plate and 5 screws put into it, on the outside, and ruptured a tendon on the inside, which had to be surgically repaired at the same time. Big ouches.
And, I fell off of my old bicycle, onto my elbow, and broke it too, but only the radial head bone, and it healed up pretty well, no plates or screws, whew. But that was the last time I rode that bike. It was just too big and heavy for me. Right after that, I got the one I've been riding now for the last 5 years. Just my size. This one I've never fallen off of.
I'm so sorry to hear about your elbow, darlin. I know how much it must hurt. I could kiss it and make it better, ya know.

Oh honey, you know me, I live in innuendo, so yes, sure, elbow is slang for 'something else'. What would you like it to be slang for? I know what I have in mind.....

Ouch! Hope you are ok!
The worst pain I have experienced sober is child birth, yeah, no pain relief! lol. Make you feel better knowing there is someone even more out of the mind than you?

You mean after your horrific cycling accident when you were younger you were still brave enough to get back on the saddle(there was a saddle in this time wasn't there?) ? Very brave of you I have to say. I fell of my bike once and went flying over the handlebars and along the gravel road on my face - that was sore but I have to say nowhere near as bad as childbirth or the pain that i get in my back or legs, I think overall childbirth is the worst pain any of us have to suffer - have you tried it? xxx

ROFL Wuss! It is true what they say - you know if men had to give birth then the human race would already be extinct! My ex complained with my first that I hurt his hand - I told him to go pass something the size of a watermelon through his willy and see how he felt! lol I was very good with my second though - just screamed a lot - but only 2 swear words! lol xxx

Ouchies! Yes I deffinatly know how that feels bah! I can name one bad accident that happened to me on my bike.. I was riding my bike with some friends back from the store when I was going close to a car or something like that. So I accidently used the left brakes on my bike .. The stronger ones .. So I got like majorly sacked. When I went home I found out I got cut down there!! :( But I think that the worst would be either when I went off of a bike jump and split open my chin (had to get 7 stitches and broke half a molar and chiped some teeth) or when I got a concussion from wrestling. Those last 2 incidents happened when I was around 9 and 10 years old haha.

well I've never been hurt drunk, but the worst pain I think i've felt was... when i was 16, and I was taking a walk.
Yes taking a walk, why?
well I had to jump railroad tracks whenever I got to one, unfortunately that day was a very unfortunate because I had caught my ankle between the railroad and road and fell and twisted it. Needless to say it swelled up so bad I couldn't put my shoe on that night.
I went to the hospital, but I never got it looked at lol. Instead I worked because I didn't want my co worker working all alone (I pushed around 200 lb women and men around in wheelchairs)
That I would say hurt ALOT... still kinda hurts to this day.

I would have to say that childbirth is the worst pain that I have ever been through.

The worst pain I've ever been in was when I was having contractions when I was in labor. It wasn't fun, but I got through it.
Second to that was last month, I severely sprained my ankle. I had to drive myself to the hospital and cried the whole way. lol. A month later, the ankle still isn't right but at least I can walk on it.

Oh, definitely better than contractions! lol. But when it happened it was just this overwhelming white-hot pain that seemed to keep building. Having to drive myself to the hospital (and stop for gas along the way because I was almost out) wasn't easy. And when I got to the hospital I had to pay for parking in the emergency lot and hobble to the ER doors. Sucked, big-time.
But I'll take that over contractions any time. lol

I'd like to be flip and say that would have been the pain of seeing my good friends drunk. But when I was a college student I was sort of off my veggies for a while, and you know there is such a strong tie between poor nutrition and sensitivity to pain, so you know they had these mandatory classes called "physical education" where we had to run laps and that sort of thing and I would get really awful cramps. Once I passed out from them. That was pretty nasty. The front wheel of my racing bike caught in a rut in the sidewalk once when I was going pretty fast downhill, and I flew head first over the handle bars and landed on my keester once, and I couldn't breathe at all for a short while, but it didn't hurt much, as I had on elbow pads. No knee bads, though, so I bled a little. What hurt more than that was a bit later some miscreant broke into our storage facility and made off with the bike. If I wanted it stolen I could have just locked it on the porch and not driven 10 miles to secure it. I think it was an inside job.

I fell off my bike when I was about 10 and skinned up both knees I didn't cry until I got home though as I did not want the kids in the neighborhood to see my cry.
Otherwise I would have to say labor pains is the worst pain I have felt sober and they really weren't all that bad.

The worst pain i ever felt was when i slipped when walking down the hill and my leg shot out for under me and i pulled all the ligaments in my knee. At the time i was more concerned about not letting go of my daughter's buggy but after i got one of my other children to grab it. That was when i felt the pain and it felt worse than labour pains. My knee all swelled up and i was in agony for about 6 weeks with it.

to stay in the bike context. I used to ride BMX bikes, and early in my biking days i took speed to go off a pyramid type thing (up, then down) and well I sorta lost control while landing.
Ahead of me was a quarter pipe (self explanatory) and I basically flew of the side of that, and did a half backflip. I landed on my back, scratching my legs and my elbows, and then the bike landed right on me. It was a pain but it was only scratches so its fine.
On the other hand, I have recently witnessed a man breaking his arm falling on a bike. I was driving and was about to go on the highway, this biker was infront of me so I slowed down to let him pass safely. He put out his left arm to indicate he was going straight. He then hit a pothole with his bike, lost control and flew forward. His left arm crashed to the ground and he broke it. We called 911 and before the ambulance came a medic from the marines came to start taking care of the blow.
Recently another friend of mine went through a car windshield head first. He basically took anothr person's bike because his was not working and had to look down to change gears. He didnt notice the parked car and threw straight through the back windshield.
Another one of my friends tore his ACL while biking and had a concussion.
Wow that was a long ramble

The worst pain I have felt was two years ago and I was stone sober but I fell on my way to myfavorite restaurant and landed on my shoulder. hurt oh my g it hurt. I sat up but could not get up as I could not lift my left arm up . My left knee burned like fire as it was skinned but my shoulder throbbed so badly. I ended up in an ambulance and was in the emergency room where I was then taken to the surgical floor where I was x rayed and then was told I had completely smashed my left shoulder. i had to have a shoulder joint replacement. the orthopedic surgeon told me Ihad smashed all the bones in my shoulder and the rubbing together of the bones was what was causing all the pain. May noone ever feel like that. wow.
