Qestion from France mature high school - riddle.

Three friends went to hotel, the for a room coast $30. So everyone paid $10. In the way to their rom the cashier discover a mistake, the room coast only $25. S o he send his boy to return $5 to all of them. But the boy have a problem, how'll give $5 to three of them? He think and decided to give $1 to everyone and keep $2 for himself and so he did. Now we know that everyone of them paid only $9 it is $27 for the room, the boy have $2,so it is $29. Now we have a problem! $1 missing? So where is that $1? Your answer needed, thank's.

ok. Room was $30.00, but was actually $25.00, Boy gave back $3.00 (25+3) which adds up to $28.00, kept $2.00 for himself, $28 + $2.00 = $30.00 Those Frenchmen aren't so Smart are they?

The 30 minus the 5 is 25, add the 3 and its 28 not 27, plus the 2 the boy kept and you have 30. The wording will definitely take you on a rollercoaster ride though. Good one.
