Some believe in evolution and that we evolved from lower species that means we still slowly evolving. Personally I do believe in a higher being to each its own I know. What's your opinions?

of course there is evolution we all have to start on something, and some superior being created us and for a creation of a day is a thousand years for us....if i dont believe in God,my basis for doing good will be my common sense and my conscience....

My basis for doing good is just common sense. The reason I treat people with respect is because that is the way I want to be treated. I don't steal from people because I wouldn't want someone to steal from me. I don't kill people because I wouldn't want my loved one to be murdered. I help people when I can because I would want to be helped if needed. I am a good friend, a good listener, a moral person and I'm an atheist. Morals are not exclusive to religious people. I follow the golden rule..."do unto others as you would have them do unto you." In other words I do good because it is the right thing to do, not because some book tells me to or on the threat of eternal damnation or reward of heaven. Seems pretty simple to me. I don't understand why it is so hard for religious people to comprehend that people can do good and have morals without believing in a god.

I don't think that you need to believe in God to have a set of ethics and morals. I am unsure what I believe in spiritually, but I try to be a good person for my own satisfaction. Not because I believe I have to be good or I'll go to hell.
