It's not just living green

We are learning a lot about how to live more gently on the earth by living green. And that is SO important. But it isn't just living green that is important.
We won't really make a difference on the earth or in the world until we take all of life, including nature, with personal responsibility.
Today's Meditation from the White Bison Society [www.whitebison.org]says it well:
"Elder's Meditation of the Day - April 27
"The law is that all life is equal in the Great Creation, and we, the Human Beings, are charged with the responsibility, each in our generation, to work for the continuation of life."
--Traditional Circle of Elders
Every generation is accountable to leave the environment in healthy order for the next generation. Every generation is accountable to teach the next generation how to live in harmony and to understand the Laws. We need to ask ourselves, "What are we teaching the next generation?" Each individual is directly accountable.
My Creator, teach me inter-generational responsibility."
Beyond the wanton destruction of our natural environment, we see in the media - and the behavior of the leaders and role models - destructive attitudes toward other people, other nations, all "others."
What are some examples you've experienced?

I've been making greener decisions and I've been sharing them with my friends and family.
Sometimes we discover something that is environmentally friendly, we institute it in our daily lives and forget to share it with our friends until a certain situation presents itself and you end up saying "Oh, did you know that you can save energy by..."
Rather than waiting for a situation to present itself, I've been sharing what I learn on my Blulow Blog (BLU3e + yelLOW = Living Green) http://www.blulow.com . That way even if I don't run into my friends for a little while, they can see a few green tips they can add to their daily routine.
Living Green is a way of life that occurs one choice at a time. The more we share, the greener the world will be.

I think that the go green movement is going to lead to people learning a lot more about the environment and what we need to do to protect it.
I know that my husband and I are really going to try to make the new house that we are building as environmentally friendly as possible.
I want to put in solar heat and I want to have bamboo floors and use a lot of natural things throughout the home.
We had to cut a lot of timber to clean the land for the house and we intend to use it to heat with too. We plan to put in a tankless water heater and a lot of other ways of conserving energy.

Good for you!
Our church got a tankless water heater and it is wonderful. The water is immediately hot, really hot. It was expensive, but will pay for itself in three years.

Inter-generational responsibility what kind of cr*p is that. Your creator told you that. Well let me tell you what my creator told me, Subdue the Earth. Teach the next generation not to lesson to tree huggers like you. Humans are more important than some spotted owl.

Actually we are all connected. Every decision we make eventually effects all that is.
