I know one Belgian who lives in Malaga already 30 years and is very satisfied, but his wife is Spanish. As well, few time ago I spoke to one Swedish captain, he was at his 50. He bought a house at the beach in Majorka, and has moved over to Spain, and as much I know he is happy with his life in Spain. But what I have heared when I was in Spain (4 months), is that when You buy some house or landed property, it is not so expencive, but the land/property taxes might be fairly high, but it depends on the region. However, many Europeans go to live there, even build their houses, so it should be no broblems to settle in Spain!

I have been moving around from one country to another for the last eight years. It was stress and tiring, but not because we did not like the new country or cannot adapt ourselves or something but it was because we sicked of shifting and moving our stuff. We do not have kids though....but even though we have one, I do not think we/our kids would have any problem. Can't handle the rain anymore??? ^^
