Do you read news daily?

Tonight when I am responding the discussion, I just suddenly thought of this question, because some myloters start their discussion base on some news or articles. It seems that I have read news seriously for a long time. I always say that I am too busy to read them. My family does subscribe newspapers, but I only read the entertainment news because they are short and interesting. My dad, instead, spends several hours reading the newspapers and watching the programmes about current affairs. However I do think that people should be well informed.
So do you read news daily? Do you read the newspaper or watch tv or read it on the internet? If you read it on the internet, any website to recommend? I study English, thus reading news in English will do me good. Please share with me. Thank you in advance.

I read the newspaper online more than I read an actual print paper. I read the print paper for the local, community news. I listen to the evening news for updates. I think as we get older and begin to notice more of the things going on in the world we gravitate to some more to our liking.

I do not read news online often. It seems that I spend a lot of time on the internet, but I do not spare some to read news. That's somehow weird. Well, I always read those to my liking:-)
Thank you for your response. Enjoy your day.

Hey teison. I think you are just like my dad. He does not listen to the radio news though. And he does not read news online now. He think it's not that suitable for him. Then he does the others as you did. When he watch tv, he spends most of his time on documentaries and news too.

Yes i do read news in papers every day as soon as i get off the bed. Will switch on the Television and go through the scrollers as well as the head lines as quick as possible. I will online most of the time and when ever i come across any interestic topic i just go on reading those articles if not the whole atleast the important part of it. I wont miss the sport and entertainment news , mostly cricket news and Formula 1 news i always check the websites for latest news rather than news papers and television.

I think you are a huge fan of cricket and F1, because fans will always tend to go to the websites to check the latest news. The news there are more and faster than the newspaper and television. I prefer to read some entertainment and international news always.
Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your days.

No, I hardly ever read the newspaper, plus my family only gets them on the weekends. I usually browse news online or watch the news on tv. :]

I do like to keep informed about what is happening locally, nationally and in the world. I listen to the news on the radio and read it on the internet. I visit newspaper websites but I don't read the print version. I will read long news articles online and enjoy discussing them. I like myLot discussions about news items.

That's great for you. I just do not spare that much time on reading news on the Internet. Perhaps I am just not that interested in the political things sometimes.
I think it's great for people to talk about news on mylot. At least we have a platform to discuss it, because in life not that many people are willing to talk about it with me.

Yes the Internet does have more interesting stuff. The youth like us tend to spend hours on the Internet. Thus most of us do nor read news paper anymore. However, I think the newspaper sometimes give us more access to the local news. I seldom reply to the articles. Maybe I just do not have that kind of habit.
Thank you for responding. Enjoy your days:-)

I am interested in the news and what is going on around me. I get two newspapers that I read, I read the articles on CNN and I watch the local news on tv and sometimes I will watch the cnn channel to watch the world news. I find it interesting.

Maybe the newspaper my family has is not interesting enough. Mostly, it's the local news and I am not that interested in the party or government conference. Besides, I am not that patient as my dad does to spend the whole night sitting there to read the articles. I find the CNN world news is interesting too. I watch them online from time to time. Perhaps, that's because the content is a little different and make me feel fresh.

i do my very best to avoid the news like the plague. its frittered with negativity and horribleness of humanity, and the LAST thing i want over dinner is to her te graphic detils of how some man has raped and slaughtered a 3 month old infant.. or how some wackjob ran through a store or school with a rifle and pegged people off at random like he was in an arcade shooting gallery. mylot is the ONLY place i wind up with it in my face all over the place because of those who feel it is their duty to spread that plague around further.

I think it's kind of policy and culture differences. In my country China, we seldom hear this kind of news from the media. I can remember some time ago when I hear VOA news, whenever I hear the news, there are somethings about Iraq war and bomb attack which made me feel annoyed.
