Ideals of Beauty

In every part of the world there seems to be a different ideal of beauty. Some of the ideals can be kind of vague or the same around the world, but some are distinct and different. For example, in one area there may be a preference shown to blonde hair and blue eyes, while in another area the preference may be for jet black hair and brown eyes. In some areas people want to be pale, while in other areas people strive to have a nice tan. I would like to compare the ideals of different areas in this discussion. Here in Canada and also the USA preference is shown, I would say, for thin, fit bodies, large breasts, blonde hair, blue eyes, and tanned skin. This is what weare shown in magazines and on television as being the ideal. What are the ideals of beauty in your country or particular area? Do you think they are reasonable and atainable, or do you think the ideals are ridiculous and unreachable for the average woman?

Hi Nykkee. Well it is hard to answer because in ours days, since the movies and magazines and news and TV all the world share the ideals of beauty that is fashion. In my country the ideal of beauty is woman with thin waist large haunch and raise seat. The hair color depend the taste of each man. But the women want to be like the models,too thin without haunch. So the ideal of beauty is one for women and other for men in my country. And I have hear that the same occur in others countries. Women want to look like the models and men want women with other look. This is why is too hard to give only one answer in this discussion. And I really think that this is ridiculous since what the women that don't fit in this ideal can do? Feel theirself ugly? Oh! please.
