Tax Rebates

They have said some of the stimulus packages will be showing up in bank accounts as of today. Has anyone gotten one yet, or is anyone expecting it soon? What will you do with yours?
We are hoping to get about $2400. The first thing I'm doing is buying a car. I haven't had a car of my own in 4 years, and with 5 children, I need my own car. We can't all even fit into the one we have.

That's good that you are buying a car, that's what the economy needs, people spending the money.
Unfortunately, I'll be paying bills with my check.

Well whatever is left after I buy my car, if anything, will be used to fix up our current car that hubby needs for work, then if anything is left after that, THEN we'll pay a few bills. Of coure that's hoping for a lot, my main concern is gettig a car, and it won't be brand new, it will be used out of someone's driveway, hopefully.

Hey katsmeow,
you can go to irs.gov and search for stimulus payment schedule they will tell you when you should expect a deposit according to the two last digits of your SSN.
If it's:00-20:May 2
21-75 May 9
76-79 May 16
They claim that direct deposits will be maid daily until next due date.

We filed via direct depost, so we are supposed to be the first getting our money. I have heard that the direct deposits should be finished by the end of next week.
