What do you consider most important when looking for a job? I suppose timing is of great importance, don't you?

i think that there are a few really good things that you have to look for in a job...one of them being the people that you work for because you don't want to work for someone that is going to be mean to you or treat you unfair or anything like that...and another thing would be if your schdules worked together...like whenever you needed to be at home for something important if they are willing to let you go home...

After my last 2 jobs, I'd have to say that I would be looking more closely at my employer, and seeing (for myself) the attitudes of the rest of the staff. In other words, seeing other employees attitude and all means you can tell a lot about the employer. When the staff acts like they're walking on eggshells with their boss, you have to ask yourself why you would consider working there.
One Dr I worked office for was just like Frasier (Kelsey Grammars character.) I could tell I'd like working for him as soon as I walked in the door and talked with him. Then there's the other extreme: Dr. Dementia, who was a fine surgeon, but she had the personality that made me think that a smile was illegal, and much more lol. (She was such a rough boss that my step mom wanted to pay me to quit hahaha.) So, yes, I would definitely be looking at the employer and the general attitude of the employees. If it doesn't 'feel right', more than likely it's not. Gotta go with your gut!

1. Job is in my field
2. Job is in my pay range
3. Job is close to home
And then I start looking into the details like:
1. good company
2. people doing the interviewing don't set off some kind of bad vibes
