I'm think of going to America as an au pair, but I still have some confusions. I want to improve my English, hoping that one day I can just blurt out English like my mother tougue.I think it would be a great opportunity spending a year in America, get to know the culture and improve my English. But I'm not quite sure if it's the right decision. What if the host family is not nicer?I'm a good person,I get along well with most people. But if,if ,if I'm not lucky and the host family treat me bad?Anyway I don't have any friends there. My friends ,could you give me some advice?Oh,what about $157 allowance a week in America? Is it enough for me to cover the expenses? The host family afford the accommodation and meals. How much money I can save with $157 allowance a week in a month? Thank you a million!

I totally understand about your worries. This is really confusing. If you go to American to be an au pair, it is a great opportunity for you to improve your English and know different cultures. But you are new there, it may be difficult for you to really immersed into their society.
