for your regular headaches, i tend to take extra strength tylenol. for tension headaches, i apply a cool rag or an ice pack to my forehead or the back of my neck. i also tie a scarf around my head as tightly as i can stand it, and then slowly loosen it. for migraines, i take excedrin migraine. i hope this helps.

I've tryed a lot of different medications for my headaches and I have to say panadene 15 has been the most effecting. If you get headaches on a regular basis you should go to your doctor, there is medication that your doc can put you on that stops your headaches altogether. I used to get headaches every day so my doctor put me on avanza or another name for it is mirtazone which is also an antidepressant and helps you to get to sleep at night, I no longer get headaches at all.

For your regular headache you'd be better take Tylenol, or PARACETAMOL. Aspirin is good but it's can hurt your gastric and Ibuprofen is more for your rheumatism pain ...

I prefer tylenol. I used this before, but I stop taking this since my doctor told me to stop taking medicine for a while, by now I occasionally using analgesic as alternative when I really don't feel good and I want to fall sleep just to relieve headaches.

Thanks for the answer. I'm curious about how tylenol and asprin match up against each other these days.My daughter gets miagrines but she can't take anything with tylenol in it so she takes asprin and motrin, if that doesn't work she calls the dr.(which she hates to do).

Fortunately I rarely get headaches anymore, if I do it's usually sinus and tylenol sinus works good for me. Something good I have found over the counter is Percogisic. It has something in it that works like a muscle relaxer and it causes me to get drowsy and helps me to sleep. I'll use it if I get a weird headache and nothing else seems to help. I usually ask the pharmacist if he has any of the generic behind his counter, it's a lot cheaper than the name brand.
