What Would You Feel When An Old Good Colleague Is Leaving The Office Forever?

Well people.You know when you are working in an office and there's this 1 or two good colleague of yours living because there's a better offer,how would you feel?I felt sad when one of mine left today but at the same time happy that she has been offered a better job.Feel happy and joyous for her.What do you feel when this happens?

I usually feel sad when a colleague of mine leaves the company. Most of us have been there for a very long time and it's like a second family, so when they leave or retire it's a very sad occasion as you don't get to see them on a daily basis anymore. I try to keep in touch with the people who have left but it's not the same as seeing them everyday at work.

Hi podqueen.You're right.I felt sad yesterday when a colleague of mine(one of my best colleagues)gave me a farewell hug.I saw happy and sad tears trembling from her eyes.It was very moving but we promised to keep in touch at all times.We wished each other good luck in future challenges.Thanks for the comments.
