Have you experienced getting annoying phonecalls?

The San Diego police recieve complaints from a woman who said she was getting annoying phonecalls. She said, in the middle of the night, a person would phone her, barklike a dog and then hang up. police discovered that the source of the calls was from a close neighbor. When the police confronted the neighbor, he said he was often awakened by the barking of the complainants dog, he wanted to get even by calling her on the phone and make sure she was awake too by barking on the phone.
Thanks God I don't have dogs that bark loud at night to disturb my neighbors while sleeping. I only got disturbing texts messages from people looking for text mates.

YES! Someone would call me and tell me I won some contest when I never joined on. Which is weird really. Sometimes I would receive calls trying to get my name and stuff/

Ooh, yeah, we do have a dog and he whines at night whenever he wants to go out but we dont let him. Before we just let him wander around the neighborhood at night when he didnt come home before we slept. Some of our neighbors have dogs too and they sleep out and so whenever they see our dog they would bark like crazy waking up half the neighborhood. So the neighbors complained and so we dont let him get out at night. Thankfully, our neighbors hae the decenc to tell us and ask us to discipline our dog and not just giving us prank phone calls or somehting. We do get phone calls where as soon as you say hello they would hang up. Its quite annoying especially when we're in the middle of doing somehting. There was also one time when they played a music box. didnt say anything just let me hear the music. I heard a kid in the background and a tv on. Just ignored it and hanged up.
On my cellphone, I make it a point to not answer any calls that came from an unregistered number in my phone. Ill let a friend ansewr if she wants but I dont anser myself. With the texts messages, I too recieve messages asking me to be their textmates. I just ignore it and delete their numbers. I dont ahve time for textmates. Unlike them, I do ahve a life to attend to and not just wasting time, effort and money jsut to have textmates.
