How many people have a tivo or dvr and do you like it?

I have DVR I realized that if you do record 2 programs you have to watch one of them because it only lets you watch those 2 channels. Well maybe you can watch a different channel than those but I couldn't figure out how. I like the fact that you can actually pause a tv show while you run and do something!

I think my husband has it set up on a spliter cause we can watch one show on the tv and the dvr can record two. We use the input on the tv and the dvr only works on the s-video setting so that the tv setting just has the cable on it. We don't do it often cause we hate watching shows in real time. You can't zap the commericals.

OMG, my DVR has become the best thing in the world to me. I love technology!! I do hate that you have to watch one of 2 things if you're trying to record both, but it's cool. Hubby and I rarely watch "live tv" anymore. I love when I have a break from working, say lunch, I can speed through my tv shows commerical free, or pause them at my convievnce.

We used to have dvr and I loved it. I wish that we still had it. I loved being able to pause the tv when I had something to do. I also loved how easy it was tape shows. So I could watch all the shows that came on to late for me to stay up for the next day.
