I have been seeing a lot of cash advance places like check into cash, payday loans, etc. I have visited one to get Western Union money orders as they only charge a quarter for that yet have never used the check cashing services. I was wondering what they are like... Do you use them? Do they work well for you? Why would a person be interested in using one of these businesses? What are the benefits and bad points about it? Tell your story or the stories you have heard about check cashing places here...

only use them to send money but alot of people use them when they run out of money before payday then they have to pay them back and I think with some interest.

How are they to send money... is it through Western Union or what? Do they charge a lot to do that?

I think the places are sinful in the degree of interest that they charge. I believe it is called Usury. I was in a shop the other day that apparently offers paycheck loans and heard some of the details... an additional $25 fee if you wish to extend your loan a week past the original 2 weeks... was the part I heard.

Amazing that people resort to this... It's very sad that people have to struggle so hard to get by that they use these services.
