Stuff that cats leave around for you to step on

My Maxie occasionally pushes a treat or piece of dry food around before eating it --- or not. I don't like him doing that, but he's a young guy, one to one and a half years old. What I DO mind is inadvertently crunching that food under my shoe and tracking it around the house. Other items that my cats leave around are toy mice and balls. I'm even ashamed to say that I've accidentally stepped on a bit of poo and vomit without realizing it was there. Do your cats leave anything for you to walk on by accident?

The little balls they play with are laying all over the hosue I don't mind that I hate that when they use the litter box the litter sticks to the bottom of there feet and they track that around and then you step in it and it feels like you are stepping in sand.

Ooooh, I hate when that litter winds up on the floor. It seems that no matter how often I sweep it up, I still feel as though I'm walking on sand. To deal with that problem, I stopped using regular litter and started using old newspapers. The floor still needs to be wiped after the cat gets done peeing, but I'd rather do that than find and get rid of tiny annoying litter off the floor.

Or maybe pushed those toys to one side so you or anyone else stepped on them. My sister tends to leave dog toys around for her dogs to play with. Those toys are a nuisance!
