How old were you when you lost your virginity?

I can honestly say that I have still not lost my virginity and I am 17 years old. Its not so bad since I am 17 but still sort of embaressing a little bit since so many people around me at my school have and what not. I am also wondering who here lost their virginity to someone they loved or not? Or was it maybe a random incident at a party? Or a mistake or regret? All comments welcome :)

I was 20 and it was my boyfriend. I was nowhere near ready at 17. Anyway, don't be embarrassed and don't be pressured into anything. You will know when you are ready. And when you are ready, please, please take precautions...

Well when I lost my virginity I was 14 yrs old. It was with my boyfriend that I had for about a yr and I cared deeply for him. Unfortunately he got really possesive after and I left him and then found a great guy that I dated for about 4 yrs after the guy I lost my virginity to. LOL!! I don't regret it and it wasn't a mistake ..

I was 17 when i lost my virginity. It was a month before my 18th birthday. I had been dating this guy for 3 years and things were great. he had just found out that he was going to iraq before chirstmas. I know that then i loved him and would miss him so very much. I wanted him to have something that no one else would ever have. My heart was beating fast and things were great. I never will regret it. If anything it is one night that i will never forget ever.

I was 22 when I lost my virginity. I did love the person but I dont think it was meant to be from the start. I just led myself to believe that it was. No regrets.

I was nearly 17 (a few months shy) when I lost my virginity. It actually took 6 weeks to close the deal--the boy that I was in love with for 2 years didn't take me seriously! I pursued him on his 17th birthday, but he was so stoned and drunk, nothing happened. We did hook up late the next month, not my ideal place, but I was probably more willing than him. We never dated, but did a lot of flirting (I'd like him but he was dating someone else; then he'd like me but I was dating someone else). I've never regretted it--he's always got a special place in my life (but I don't know that we could get together as adults, especially since I've found the guy of my dreams !)

I was 16 and I was nowhere near ready. I later married the guy...and divorced him. He was controlling then and he still is.

I Guess you can say I lost it twice, although I don't consider the first time anything. Neither does my fiance, but well here's what happened. I was dating a guy that I thought I Really liked, and he was very cute.. I wanted to real bad, to know what it felt like... but I guess I wasn't really ready at all. We had to wait because my period didn't end when I thought it would, but we ende dup doing it at a hotel. Well sort of, he did insert me.. and it hurt, so I just told him to stop... He said "You should have known it would hurt." I don't consider that my first time though, because I made him stop, and I have forgotten about it. My Real first time was with my Fiance, and it took us a while as neither of us knew what we were doing. He didn't stay in me long, but it was very romantic... and we just held each other afterwards. I was 20 in both stories.

Ah yes. Twice hmm. Yeah, well I would for sure consider the second one where you actually lost your virginity. Though, I can see what you mean about losing it twice.

Good discussion =P I was older than you 20, and it was my boyfriend at the time. No regret, although he didn't believe me when I said he was the first. LOL! I guess too many people cave in to peer pressure or something. I think it's important to be in love, not just like, not just because, or at least it means more if you're in love. Fewer chances for regret as well. I still have fond memories of the boyfriend and his little girl, even though he was not the wisest. He wasn't a bad person, just obviously not the person to spend the rest of my life with. When I was 17 - I think I was 17 - I had a boyfriend in high school who pressured me once and I told him no because I was fairly certain I wasn't going to marry him! I even told him that! Then when he wouldn't leave me alone, I told him that since I wasn't planning to marry him, I didn't want the risk of possibly having kids with him. Boy I sure sound like a killjoy at 17, don't I?

i was 17 when i lost it. and it was with someone i deeply loved and i do not regret it at all. he was a great guy and we were dating for a year and a half before it ever happened. it is worth waiting for someone you truly care for, it will really mean a lot more to you than if it is just some random moment.

I hate the fact that virginity is looked down upon as some stupid, naive, "bad" thing, rather than the virtuous and "good" thing that it really is. I lost my virginity at 22, and that was only because I had become engaged to the guy. (I thought I at least had the commitment on the guy's part; turns out he was an abusive jerk, so I left him.) If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't mind still being a virgin right now, at 33 years old.

That is too bad. I guess that your son was the good that came out of it. Though if you were something like 13 or 14 when you had your son I guess that would not have been so great.

I lost mine when I was 20 and honestly I do regret it. I kind of feel ashamed that I lost it so young and didn;t wait til marriage when it is supposed to be special.

Aw, sorry :( Dont feel down about it though because there are lots of people who have not waited for marriage to give away their virginity. I dont think that is something to be ashamed of and Im sure you were ready because by the time you are 20 you probably know whether you want it or not. If you were something like 13 or 14 then maybe you would not have really known.

It is nothing to be embarrassed about. I commend you for waiting. I wish I would have. I was younger than 17 and it was not with someone I loved. I regret it. It is nice to hear that you have made a good decision in my opinion. Have a great week!

I *think* I was 15, but I may have been 16. I had been dating my boyfriend for a year, and we did it on our one year anniversary. It was very special to me. Then a year after that, I found out he'd since slept with 7 other girls while he was dating me, so it had more of a bittersweet feeling at that point.

hhmm... seems that a lot of people here has been devirginized at such a young age. I'm 26 and still a virgin up and proud. I believe that virginity is the ebst gift you could give your husband. It just shows how much you waited for him. True love waits.

I was 17 when I lost mine, I waited until I had been with my boyfriend for a couple of months and had known him a year. I wanted it to be special and with someone I loved. He never put any pressure on me to do it and was really understanding. I am still wih him, and have been for 3 years now. Dont be embarassed about it though, its better to wait than regret it
