Has Obama finally breaking his ties with Rev. Wright come too late for you?

I have to say that it is long overdue and It makes me wonder how Obama's claim that they are such longtime friends "He has been like family to me" "his comments contradict everything Im about and who I am"; 20 years, but could have his close friend do this to him--how does that happen?? Is their tension between them that politics didn't get to the root of?
I can understand Obama giving the Reverend Wright the benefit of the doubt back in March and even into April because maybe he had this misconception that the Reverend had his best interest in mind and I can't HELP not having compassion for Obama because of this. The Reverend has a sick ego in my mind and looked like a LITTLE BOY (and who is paying him??)giving a speech! This is DAMAGING.

i dont know but thank goodness people are starting to see the grave danger obama poses to this country.if it was a white guy with same background they would be crucified,we all know obama has been treated with a double standard(which is just another form of racism)and he has shown "pollitics as usual" and doesnt mind distancing and denouncing longtime friends and family if it is pollitically expediant.i still cant believe how he threw his own grandmother under the bus and labeled the lady who raised him a racist just because he was trying to justfy his pasters comments.and the zombies who support this guy scares me even more.obama has seperated not brought together the races.black voters are voting for him ONLY because he is BLACK and that is racist.obama seems to be bringing out racism and seperatism

While I do see race as an issue that needed to be addressed I do agree with the statement that blacks feel enticed to throw their vote at Obama because he is black and dismissing the fact that he did not grow up in poverty, came from white community, and had white grandmother in short. Whether this is a conscious decision or subconscious I think it could be natural but still I worry what will happen when he gets in office and makes decisions that do not even address black issues because so many blacks are counting on him.

Good point Rev, if he's elected, I'll bet he will even forget that he's half black. He's not going to be thinking about the poor black people of this country.

Considering Reverend Wright introduced Obama to God and religion I don't blame him for taking this long. I listened to Wright speak I think Friday night for a good long portion and he is not the hate filled anti-American that is portrayed on youtube. He even made a statement about how all religions must work together. I thought it was a good thing Rev. Wright talking to the press, until I heard about the show he put on Monday and a whole new slew of just dumb comments.
I still think Wright is a decent man, look at his ministry and what he has done the last 30+ years. Its just his ego is so big he has no idea how damaging some of the kooky statements he makes reflects on him, the black churches, and Obama's campaign.
If McCain wins the nomination he should send Reverend Wright a thank you letter. I don't this is that damaging as Obama can't control Wright and Wright's ego, but it definitely is damaging and could prolong this primary until June or later, giving McCain a huge advantage in the general.

If he's preaching a message and its all about his being in control and everyone is expected to take his word as bond and just accept all that he says without question (I have never been to his sermons but only go by what I see) and then when he's upstaged he just disregards others and their feelings and just typical public relations then I have to wonder what his motives are but overall I just sense alot of tension and bitterness from anything he says.

Lol and we have Rev. Wrong saying "well that's just how politicians are". He might just as well said Obama is a lying just to win the election. Then, the nerve to say he wants to be vice President!
The man is an extremest and I think he ruined the election for Senator Obama.
I wouldn't have voted for him anyway. I don't feel bad for him though because I would have walked out of that church the first time I heard a sermon from that Rev.
And I most certainly wouldn't vote for someone to be President of these United States because I feel sorry for them.
