And I have no plans? How did I let this date sneak up on me? Aaaahh!! Has this ever happened to you guys that do celebrate Beltaine or any other holiday on the wheel of the year? So, now I'm rather in a panic, lol. I have no idea what I'm gonna do for May Day this year...so, does anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind I like to keep things simple, and don't like to spend a whole lot of money. I just want it to be special. Besides me, what're your guys' plans for this particular holiday, if you celebrate it?

You're not the only one this day snuck up on. I was just thinking the other day how May Day was coming up and I mentioned it to my girlfriend. I was thinking how nice it would be to do something but I never really thought about it. Actually I kind of forgot about it until you brought it up! You could always cook a simple, spring type meal. Or maybe make a cake or something. Leave some fairy offerings, meditate, light some candles, pray. The possibilities are endless. I guess it's just a matter of finding the time.

Cakes, how silly of me to forget how I'm already making cakes and it goes with the holidays *feels silly* Time is always the kicker with any holiday it seems like. Thanks for responding though, perhaps this year Beltaine simply feels like being a bit sneaky? Hehe.

My problem right now is, I'm short on time, haha. I'm in school with finals slowly approaching, so it makes sense as to why it snuck up on me.

*nods* Being busy does tend to do that to a person -- I don't really have that, in fact I've had plenty of time to relax since forever, so close to May now though things are beginning to get busy again, so I'm still pretty surprised. With visitors today I'm not sure how much time I'll get to prepare if any now either. I'm sure we'll both find something which fits perfectly though...I mean that's how it seems to turn out some years. It'll just hit you what you can do for the holiday. I hope you can find something so it doesn't bug you all day though =) I hope you have a very lovely Beltaine as well.

It didnt creep up on me really but I dont necessarily celebrate it..I do celebrate the change of the seasons but no according to a calendar date if that makes sense..Sometime over the next couple weeks I'll wake up one morning and just know thats the day for me to be doing my thing..Does that make sense? As far as suggestions for you goes..I dont have any I'm sorry..but once my coffee kicks in I'm sure I willso I'll get back to you..

Sure, makes plenty of sense. I tend to run intuitively on things too, this year I just hoped to plan a bit more for once, since it felt like the year to try it (all other attempts pretty much failed). I think it's pretty lovely to sort of..just wait and listen for nature to tell you. Anyway, sure, thanks for responding even if you don't come up with any suggestions ^_^ whenever you do get that nature alert thingy, I hope you have an awesome time.

My partner and I had originally planned to drive down to the Rollright Stones in the Cotswolds here in the UK but the weather was so bad that we ended up lighting candles in the house instead.

Beltane Blessings! I've just sent some ecards to some of my friends. This evening I plan to light some candles for the forthcoming season and perhaps write some wishes and some plans that I would like to achieve during this time. It doesn't have to be lavish whatever you plan to do! Blessed Be!
