I could backup my Address Book using Export/Import but emails how can I back it up, and in case of a crash how can I restore to it? Are there any other data that I have save also? Any suggestions are most welcome.

If you reduce the size of the window you can drag and drop the emails from the inbox etcetera. Simply make a folder in a floppy disk or flash drive and store them that way. If you do not use such drives and wish to store them on a CD, then you would be copying to a folder on the hard drive first, so remember to hold down the trl key while you drag and drop so that you will copy the emails and not simply move them. If you reformat the hard drive and want to restore them simply drag and drop them back into the Inbox, or you can open them where they are providing that you have installed the email client.

The way I do it is that I take a copy of the whole folder in Windows Explorer. If you are using XP... this is the address C:\Documents and Settings\Patrick\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{827B04B1-6639-42C1-99F1-F6FD26E9114D}\Microsoft\Outlook Express You have to look for your name instead of "Patrick". Besides the Address book... C:\Documents and Settings\Patrick\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book I also save my Favorites the same way C:\Documents and Settings\Patrick\Favorites I usually do all that at the last minute before getting a new hard disk... or re-formatting. Then you just replace the folders of your new installation with the ones you did save. But with the emails... XP is a bit more tricky than the previous Windows versions. You cannot just past the folder into it. You can only replace folders... but not add new ones by simply pasting... or they won't work. You first open Outlook Express... and create folders in your inbox to match every folder you have in your backup copy. When you finish you paste your backup copy into the folder and overwrite all the new folders. The other thing you want to back up is the whole folder "My Documents". And of course... any other data that you might have stored outside of "my documents"

No... I told you I was using XP... The other way to find it is to use Start/Search Search for "Outlook Express" in files and folders. But before you do... make sure you tick the box "Search hidden files and folders"... because it is an hidden folder. It should come up with two folders. One in program files... and the second one is the one you are looking for.

Sorry I didn't get you the first time, I'm using XP too. I've search and they're so many, I should only check folders right? What sort of file should I look there?

Thanks Aussies, That's to deep. I did check my ...\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ but there's only one - {3FC19F2C-64DE-4C6A-AA4D-974FBBE94C1A} and its empty. Though I found my address book *.wab at \Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book where you said it would be. I wonder where my outlook actually save it? are you using Vista?
