Starting 5/1/08 - we're on!

Ok starting tomorrow my fiance and I are starting our "healthy" lifestyle change. We've put a twist to it...whoever loses the highest percentage of weight (like biggest loser)...get new under clothes from the loser. That's for May. Each month, up to the wedding month; which is November, we have different incentives. We're cutting out eating out or ordering in; we're taking our lunch to work, we're going to start walking and being more active. Currently I'm a size 14/16...I want to get to a size 10 by November! He's a 42 and he wants to get to 36!!! Have you ever tried a weight loss/lifestyle plan with your partner? How did it go?

Good for you! Eat tons of veggies and fruit. :) I have done this with my husband but not to the degree you guys are- we more made an agreement to eat healthier and help motivate each other to do so. Definitely easier to have a partner to work with! I think your goals are very reasonable, too. I recently lost a bunch of weight. I was in a tight 14 when I started. That was last fall and I am now in a very loose size 10 (8's are a hair too tight still though I can get them on zipped). I lost an average of a right around a pound a week, I think, going from 164# down to a current 142#. You can do it!!!! But, I am not too sure about the bet- he may lose that one just to get you new under clothes...kwim? lol!!!

May 2--May Day. Great time for a change. Love your incentives to each other. Nope hubby and I have never tried a weight loss plan quite like that, but sounds like a fabulous idea...I am actually gonna discuss it with him. Thanks for the great ideas and motivation---new underwear, I can certainly use, lol! I LOVE getting new underwear. Best of luck. Please let us know how you are both coming along...
