Can you watch a Horror Movie like any other normal movie

i dont particularly fancy horror movies but some of them are okay i guess. sometimes i watch just because of the actors or that the storyline seemed 'interesting'. but horror movies do give me the creeps. sometimes i cant sleep after watching one! i wouldnt watch a horror movie all by myself too. too scared haha!

I was like that when I was young, I couldn't stop myself from looking behind me if I was alone in the house or on another floor. I got over it eventually. But then my son was watching The Grudge last year and I got roped into that and I couldn't sleep with the lights off for about 10 days! A 53yr old mom, afraid of the dark!!

I love watching horror movies and I love to scare myself. I usually try to watch them alone in the dark so then I can imagine that there's some big bad killer waiting in the dark to get me. I think that's the best part of watching horror movies.

the only time that i can watch a horror movie without having nightmares afterwards, is when there is someone with me.

Obsession and compulsion. May be you enjoy watching horror movies and enjoy being afraid. :-) I quit being afraid when I was 10. I actually look for movies which can scare the living the hell out of me. God that must be awesome. But sadly,i can't find such movies.I watched classic horror movies like 'The exorcist', and 'The shinning'. Very nice movies,but didn't really got me going. I think you watch horror movies to fathom out 'lets see what more is there". :-) . Every horror movie scares you more, and more you get into it. Pardon if i am making you look like a psycho. hehe. :-) If you find any REALLY scary movies, tell me. I want them.
