mylot is a boon,but colleague says its a bane ..agree or disagree

myLot gives you as much privacy as you want. They don't give out your paypal address. You're free to volunteer or withold any personal information you want and give as much or as little insight into yourself as you wish. I don't understand his objection. And he's here, too, so why is he complaining?!

dear venkat2002 I think you are right . To call mylot is a boon there are so many reasons. We can share our views, we can exchange our views, interact with each other without knowing anything about fellow mylot including little bit earning. Though for me earning is not a sole criteria I like mylot due to its presentation . For this reason it is a boon. pkc3000

Well, it is a problem if you want to say things that you don't want your friends or family to know about but if you do not make your private life public, it should not be a problem.

I am here in mylot only very recently. I joined after a friend of mine suggested me this site. It is really a place where I could learn and also could share my thoughts and ideas. Lots of details are being discussed. I agree it is a boon for people like me who wish to pursue a career in counselling and as a resource person.

There's a saying...'He who feels it knows it'. Guess your friend felt it so he speaks of it. Yet another saying goes...'Actions speak louder than words'...So there you have it. Whatever experiences he has had with mylot are too good for him to stay away. I find mylot a great place to express ones self and to find people of an instigating nature. I learn more about myself here by simply allowing someone elses experience or thought to infiltrate my mind and then taking from it or reject it all together or in part. Lets just say I learn to be more tolerant of another's view.

if mylot does that, then he's still here and why mylot has gaining more and more members each day? well that's my opinion then and mylot gives a privacy for each and everyone of us

I am afraid I do not know what a bane is... nor do I know what you mean by a boon - do you mean a wealthy jackpot of a place? As far as privacy, you divulge what you do not mind being known - withhold that which you do mind being known. you are in charge of your own words and revelations.

Not sure what you mean by 'mylot doesnt give the privacy a person needs' Why would someone come to the internet to chat with friends and discuss things be concerned about privacy? People only know what you tell them, so if you don't want them to know your private business, then don't post it. I'm confused ...

they give you enough privacy as you need. i mean, they dont give out your paypal info or anything :)
