i really cant explain the feeling that i had, but here is the story... we went up north for the weekend and it was intense and busy (a minister friend of ours became ordained on this past sunday) but when we drove home and as soon as we got into our home city, i just felt that i dont belong here anymore (it was a very strong feeling)... perhaps it is God leading me (and hopefully my family) in another area and direction... any thoughts?

It may be that Spirit is guiding you to be somewhere else and do something different. It may just be that there was such strong energy at the gathering you were at that leaving it caused a drop in energy which made you feel uncomfortable. I have been at spiritual gatherings where the energy was just amazing and uplifting. Then when we went home it took us a few days to adjust because it was like an instant drop off. Give yourself a few days, if you are still feeling the same way begin looking for signs or coincidences that seem to be leading you forward. If this is a message from Spirit you will begin to see more of it. And if it is a message or a leading be sure to follow it. Again give yourself a little time to adjust to the let down in energy first and see how you feel.

Hi cher. I had this feeling once. Maybe you are right and it is God trying to show you the right way. I hope you make the better choice.

I had this happen a few years back. It was after my mom's divorce when she was still so depressed. One weekend we visited our family in another state. It was a lot of fun and the happiest time we had had in quite a while. When we returned home it just wasn't the same. We made the impulsive decision to move and two weeks later we did just that. The move turned out to be a really good thing for my mom. Being around family and back where she grew up helped her get her life back on track. As for me, now I feel as if I just don't fit in and do not belong here. I don't think my mom would have moved without me. But for me being here just doesn't feel right and now I feel stuck. So don't act on impulse. Really sit down and take the time to think about your feelings before you make a big decision.

I've never had the feeling that I don't belong when I get home, but I've definitely had the feeling that a place I was visiting was home. I'd suggest you find some quiet time to meditate and just ask "where do you want me to be. What do you want me to do". Don't try to "think" when you're meditating, just let your mind be empty. The answer usually comes to me after I've meditated for a time and then go on about my life. It could just be that you would really like to be in the area where your minister friend is in order to support him, or it could be a longing to do more with your life. If you keep your mind open, you will be shown the way.
