Pre Emmy Nods Announced

today on The View.
Well it seems GH got shut out across the board---what a farce! I love Tony Geary and I hope he wins for best actor---but really---where was his great story last year, this was like a nod to 1990 NOT 2008? And how can GH be nominated for best show without the actor performances given a nod??? Hmmm Guess I won't be watching the emmies this year! And, I don't understand why some shows have multiple actors/actresses nominated. ABC is hosting and nearly all of their stars shut out????? I am calling the GH comment lines to voice my displeasure at seeing Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Sebastian Roche (Jerry), Kristen Storms (Maxie), Julie Berman (LuLu), Rick Hearst (Ric), Steve Burton (Jason), Becky Herbst (Elizabeth), Nancy Grahn (Alexis), Laura Wright (Carly), Carolyn Hennesy (Diane), Dylan Cash (Michael), Josh Duhon (Logan) etc ALL being robbed for nods!

Well, I was left wondering if this was some kind of pre emmy April fool's joke or something, except it is the last day of April and not the first...Even the guy from People Magazine thought Nancy Alexis) should have gotten a nod...Congrats to Tony and GH for their nods but I think I will skip the emmies this year!

I dont' watch them anyway, but quite frankly, GH has been so boring this year - so what if the actors were "good". The storylines were terrible. Jason and Sam I think are the only 2 that had strong storylines, and that dwindled near the end of the year. Carly..okay, but still nothing to brag about. Tony Geary is to spuratic. here a few weeks, then gone. Granted I never cared for the character much in the first place, but his storylines were usually pretty good.

Yeah, I was disappointed, too. No females in any catagory and only David Canary and Tony Geary. Seems like an NBC/CBS lovefest to me. ABC has some good actors with some fairly good story lines although they have been a little shallow this year. I do agree with people liking Ellen. She seems to show real interest in the guests and others she talks to. I think Regis and Kelly are funny. Who knew that Kelly would learn to be so sharp and quick when paired with Regis. The View irritates me cause I cant stand the way they talk over each other and wont let the others get a word in. Attention Elizabeth- Shut Up!

Sorry, but I really disagree with games shows and talk shows being apart of daytime drama award shows. Nothing against these other great daytime venues however, I truly believe that actors getting awards for outstanding drama should be kept totally separate. Just my opinion of course.

I understand your consternation about talk shows and gamesshows bieng lumped in with daytime drama, but unfortunately it is the daytime emmys and they do at least have separate catagories.
