Yes that crazy Fed chief Ben Bernanke is at it again, lowering those intertest rates. Now I know what you are saying, why does lowering interest rates make Benny crazy. Well everytime Helicopter Ben lowers interest he also increases inflation. That is why Canadians are laughing at us, our proud dollar is getting weaker and weaker by the day. At the rate Helicopter Ben goes about it Mexican will be laughing at us.

I don't currently know where to get data on the peso. If I find it, I'll do a study as to when the US Dollar at current trends will become equivalent to the Mexican Peso. I will publish it at myLot, if I find the information. You are right that things are headed toward DOLLAR - PESO equivalence.

I have been doing analysis of data for years. This helped me out quite a bit to understand the data I was able to find at the link you provided. It turns out there is GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS concerning the DOLLAR - PESO relationship. The good news is that the dollar apparently is not going to reach parity with the peso anytime soon! The bad news is that means the peso is being devalued at about the same rate as the dollar. So, while our Canadian friends are having the good sense to preserve their currency to a greater extent than ourselves, the Mexican fiscal policy apparently is as irresponsible as ours. This will cause the current ratio of DOLLARS vs PESOS to stay about the same with minor ups and downs.

I have been doing some reading about the FED and it occurs to me that a lot of the economic problems we are currently seeing are because of the FED. I read where the FED actually caused the Great Depression by refused to supply money for several months during what should have been merely a severe slowdown in the economy which caused the banking collapse. That was supposed to be what the FED was created to prevent. As the FED lowers interest rates and prints more money, the higher the inflation rate gets. I think Ron Paul is right when he says we should get rid of it altogether.

Let do away with it. Government has to much control over my money. What most people do not understand is inflation is just another tax.
