Ok here it goes, I have a computer that was built for me by a computer geek about 3 years ago. Yesterday morning when I left for work it was working great, I was copying a DVD onto the hard drive and had set the program to shut the computer down when it was finished. I left for work and came home to retrieve the DVD out of the DVDrom and to no prevail the computer won't turn on. I need some ideas as to what it could be and where I should start first. If I unplug the power cord and replug it in when I push the power button the blue power light does flash for a second but the computer itself does not turn on. Please help lots of important stuff on that computer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Ummm i have to ask.....have you copied a dvd to your hard drive before or was this the first time? It sounds to me like your hard drive crashed. And as we all know thats basically like the brain of the computer. And if that stops working then everything basically stops working. But in your case i hope that this is not the problem for you. I am hoping that is just a glich in the system to tell you the truth. Good Luck!

I have copied DVD's many of times before, never had a problem like this, sometimes the decoder program freezes up. I just hope if it is the hard drive someone can get my pictures and files off of it.
