What do you do with your left over food?

April 30, 2008 3:45pm CST
Ok a few hours ago I started a discussion about do you eat the same dinner two nights in a row, well after reading some of your responses I'm now wondering what you do with your left over food? If we have something like Shepherds pie I will reheat it the next day but with left over roast meat I will turn it into curry or something. Oh by the way in response to my previous discussion about my son eating the same thing 2 nights in a row the outcome was we compromised, he had some of the same stuff as last night like the waffles but we added cheese and salad, he also had a banana and apple before going to bed (thats an evening ritual!). Thanks for all who responded and who responds to this discussion.

When we have left overs we will wait a night before serving the same exact meal. Otherwise I do try to turn it into something else.

We never throw anything out unless we only have a teeny bit left and there's no point to it. We may not eat the leftovers for dinner the next evening, but we do eat them again. Anything else that is left over that can be used for other things, we'll turn it into other meals if we can. Anything so we're not wasting food.

I will eat leftovers the following day for lunch sometimes or I will take then and make something different out of them. I just try to not have the exact same thing 2 nights in a row.
