Neighborhood Associations

I use to be president of our neighborhood association. To tell you the truth I don't think that I'll ever do it again. I guess it was a matter of office politics and the politicuans that were supposed to work with us. Anyone else a active community member or have you ever been? What was you experience with it? Good or bad? DCMerkle

Yes, there's always politics to get in the way of a good idea... I volunteer for my local police service by helping to staff a neighborhood policing centre. So far, nothing "political" has happened.

Oh, I'm sure there's a lot of backstabbing going on on the board, but it doesn't affect our centre directly.
