Crock pots and stews.

So I have like two crock pots and I use them for various things. I love to make stews and chili in them .. I think my favorite thing to make in my crock pot is beef stew!!!
I like to make it with fresh beef cubes from the butchers and some baby carrots and fresh green beans and then lots of seasonings and some thickening agents and then I let it cook over night. Yum then the next day I make some rice and put the rice in the bottom of the bowl and then the stew right over top of it.

Well bella honey I am sure a crock pot is what we call a slow cooker! My favourite is steak (beef) and mushroom casserole I cube the steak myself as I like to get rid of all the fat and the butchers tend to leave lots on, about a tonne of slice mushrooms an a lovely thick gravy! Add to some mashed potatoes and it is so tasty and easy! The other is chicken chausser, again lots of mushrooms, chicken cubed and I cheat and add ready made chausseur sauce - again rice or mashed potatoes and it is wonderful! xxx

Sounds yummy! My honey is the crock pot king, he makes all kinds of wonderful stuff in the crock pot he has that can make a meal for an entire battalion. The only thing I ever use mine for is hot crab dip and pulled pork.

So after we have lost five lbs your going to make us pulled pork and hot crab dip.. wow I can feel it attaching to my hips already. LOL!!!

yep that is a big plus for me on the day I know that I'm going to be extremely busy and the night before I can throw stuff in there and let it cook all night into the day. Yumm and the smell is to die for.

I use my crock so much, mostly roasts, beans, and stews left to cook while I am at work. I think it is the gretest invention since the wheel!

I asked for a new crock pot for Christmas and my beloved bought me a lovely chrome colored one - that has the locking handles and gasket seal so that you can take it on the road - which is perfect for us, but goodness the thing is huge!
I am not very crockpot savvy but I mostly make chicken and rice meals 0r pork or beef tenderloin that I shred up and make a barbeque sauce for sandwiches.

I would have to say my favorite meal to fix in the crock pot would have to be beef stew with alot of carrots! I put at lesat a two pound bag of carrots in my stew as my kids love them too. I do fix chilli in it every once in awhile too.

I love lots of potatoes in my beef stew but if i'm in a mashed potatoe mood I put the stew over the mashed taters. LOL!!! Hmm you have now made me hungry for beef stew.

Crock pots should be banned. I don't use one, boiled meat seems gross to me. I don't make anything in them.
My grandma does a mean barbeque meatball and keeps them warm in one does that count?
