What to do???

I hate when I cant sleep at night. I cant just lay in bed. What do you do on nights when you cant sleep??? (besides MyLot) :)

If I am having a hard time falling asleep I will usually got in and take a hot bath since it is so relaxing. Then if I still can't fall asleep I will either read or watch tv till I get tired enough to sleep.

I'm having trouble tonight too. I feel your pain.;) I usually read or do any household chores I can do that won't wake the rest of my family. Sometimes I leash up my dogs and take them on a stroll around the neighborhood followed by a hot bath and a cup of tea then I try again.

I cant say as I have ever had this problem, but I have heard that for some warm milk helps, for others reading, and some may resort to a sleep aid such as nytol. My wife and I listen to tapes with the sounds of nature on them. Our favorite is a rainstorm. Practicing relaxation techniques may also help you.

Well, amyhendricks77, besides myLot I tend to read or play my Xbox360 if I can't sleep. Mostly read. I hate when that happens too because I love to sleep.

I read books whenever i am not able to sleep. i understood this technique during my study. When ever i take a book to study at night, i feel sleep.. :) More over i watch tv, or sms my friends when i can't sleep. :()

I rarely have trouble falling asleep, but occasionally when I do, I do something to trick my mind...I don't know if everyone can do this or not, maybe I'm strange, but I lay there and pretend I am a baby being held by my mother and I know nothing except that my mother is holding me and I am safe. It sounds weird but it works every time. It's the 'knowing nothing' that would be the hard part for most people. We tend to allow all our troubles and worries to pop into our mind as we are relaxing at the end of the day. Well, it's worth a try, right? Let me know if it works for you.

Try Exercise right before you go to bed, then your body will be tired and you may be able to fall asleep faster. :]

Maybe you can read the book what is about the science. Or drink a cup of flower tea!

i dont have much problem with sleeping but occasionally i wont be able to sleep so to not wake up my husband i go into the lounge wrap up in a blanket on the sofa and read a book with some hot milk i then fall asleep there on the couch! hope you find something that works for you! x
