Q:Can you suggest some effective scientific methods,or techniques to improve my vocabulary?
-asked by a student.
Ans:My dear,it would be,simply, befooling you if I said there were such and such methods to improve your vocabulary.I have been teaching English Literature for more than twenty years, and very often,my students are amazed to see how easily I quote the lines of the past masters,or allude to the Greek mythology. They ask me how I remember all those things.I answer them that I have read about them.Reading is related to understanding, and when you read something the words related to it,more or less, remain in your sleeping memory. When you find those words again, you feel you recognize those words, and the third time the definitions automatically began to appear. The extensive reading is the only Mantra toimprove your memory.
Although many people sell their products by showing how easily they can remember phone number,or addresses,or names, but these are short term methods and they don't prove to be long lasting. My dear, begin to read from four to six hours in a day for about one year, and see the MAGIC.
Bless you.
Raja Sir.

The question and answer are both posted by you.
THere is no substitute for reading, but more than that a love for life and different subjects.
To take interest in various things around you and trying to learn more about them is also a good way of improving vocabulary.
