I had to replace my desktop computer. I had it set up with a wireless modem and a USB adapter. The new desktop "finds" my USB Adapter, but says it needs to be configured. I assume this means it needs the driver? My problem is twofold, first, am I right in that this means I need to install the driver for my Westell 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter? And second, if so - how does one do this? What I've tried so far: my broadband provider's support says they can't send me a disk because the router is out of warranty. So I went to Westell's site and downloaded (using my laptop) the appropriate driver and saved it to a disk. Put the disk into my new desktop, but still can't get the USB adapter to work. Really need some handholding here, am too computer ignorant to figure this out myself. Thanks for whatever help you can offer.

Hi there. Have you successfullY installed the adapter on the computer? if you are not really sure, you need to go to your device manager-network adapters, you should be able to see the status/properties of your card there. It should say "Device working properly". If not, reinstall the drivers. If yes, you just need to open the wireless utility icon then connect to the "wireless network" then that's it.

Remove the USB and reinsert it, window will ask you again for the driver, then point to the location your download driver.
