I love going to thrift shops. There are all sorts of great finds at really low prices. One time, when I was waiting for my boyfriend, I decided to go into one of the thrift shops near the area. I wasn't really planning to buy, I just wanted to look around. Then I saw this really sexy yet classy red-and-black sleeveless turtleneck that was only P20, or just about half a dollar. I fell so much in love with it that even though I only had money left for dinner, I decided to buy the blouse. I still wear it now, and the blouse is on my top ten favorite clothes of all time. And my friends say I look really rich wearing the blouse. They couldn't believe it came from a thrift shop. How about you? I want to know what's the best and cheapest thing you found at a thrift shop?

I have found lots of wonderful things at thrift stores. One of my friends and I use to go to different ones a few times a month or so. I found a practically new clayborne winter coat for $10 or $15 and a wonderful mahogany I believe it was ment to be sideboard but we use it as a dresser for $100 it's in great shape could use some TLC but not a ton. I also go there to buy my husband tshirts and sweatshirts for work since he is a construction worker and goes through clothes sometimes very often. It's also a great place to find random things for the house. Sometimes you have to be creative but you can find some great things to be creative with at thrift stores.

Wow, your thrift stores over there are much better than ours. Here in the Philippines, our thrift stores only sell clothes. Oh right, we have what we call 'tiangge" where they sell all kinds of stuff too. But most of the time, they are only stalls on the sidewalks where it's hot to roam around and look for things, but it's still fun. I'd stand the heat just so I can look around.

I can't give you the best and cheapest thing I found at a thrift store but I can tell you, I owned a thrift store for many years. The items that people brought to sell was amazing. Most of the things in my home, my clothes and many other items I bought at my store. Some of the things still had the original tags on them. I've shopped thrift stores all my life so it was a natural thing for me own one. With the economy like it is, a thrift store is an essential part of the community.

That is so true. Lately, I've been going to thrift stores for things I need. Doesn't hurt you in any way at all, plus you get all the things you need - and like - at very low prices. Honestly, I can't stand people who brag about expensive things they buy at big-name stores. Those found at thrift stores are just as good.

I hardly ever go to a thrift shop but my mother in law goes all the time and a few monts ago she brough my husband a brand new coat by Key it had never been worn! It was a coat that sells for $100 in the stores and she got it for $1.00! What a bargain she is always finding things like that.
