ever had your girlfriend pick up your phone?

I remember soemtimes ago i was out with an uncle of mine and we were having so much fun we forgot ourselves,he left his cell phone on the grasss where we were,when heis wife called the girlfriend picked his phone and answered unfortunately it was his wife and all hell was let loose. it took a lot of apologies for more than 3 months to put them right again.Anyone had such experience here before?how did you handle it?
