Has the Left Wing Abandoned the Accusation about 9/11?

Ok, now that Obama has completely separated himself from Rev. Wright, I have a question for Democrats...
Back in the last presidential election, Michael Moore was wined, dined and given a place of honor at the DNC convention. Why? Because he said exactly the same things Wright said.
Cindy Whatsitsname was a media darling. Ever word that came from her lips was carried through the media like a clarion call. Why? Because she said exactly what Wright has said.
Hugo Chavez is a hero among left wing democrats... for saying exactly what Wright said.
In fact, left wing democrats have made it clear that they believe 9/11 was an inside job at worst, and something allowed to happen by the Bush administration at best.
So, how is it that, in this election year, a front running candidate for the Democrat nomination feels forced to distance himself from a man who proclaims in the name of Jesus Christ that "America's chickens... have come home... to roost?"
Has the left wing abandoned the accusations? Do Obama supporters distance themselves from anyone who believes what Wright, Moore, Whatsitsname and Chavez have said?
Why is a candidate for the Democrat nomination running away from something that the DNC has embraced for years?

They would do well to abandon it since it has been discovered that Clinton knew of the plans to hijack airplanes and use them as missile in the US six years before it happened.

Good question Ted. I am not a Democrat, but i am going to put in my 2 cent's worth anyway, probably need change back though. I think unlike what Obama proclaims, that he doesn't conform to the parties forum, he is just like all the rest. When his ratings in the polls start to decline he will do or say whatever his campaign manager thinks will bring them back up. When it comes down to the bottom line, they all do the same thing, then when they get elected they do whatever they please, and the heck with what the people who put them in office thinks.

Yeah, I remember when George Bush was elected and actually stared pushing the issues he campaigned on. The Democrats in Congress accused him of "pushing his campaign agenda". lol
When doing what you said you'd do freaks people out... there's a problem. ;~D
That is one thing I will hand to both Ron Paul and Ralph Nader. Ok, so neither have any chance of getting their butts in the big chair in the White House, but you know each of them would do all they could to get their policies passed if they did.
btw, their policies is also what scares me about them ;~D

I couldn't have said this better myself, thank you for this heart felt reply, I wish everyone would take the time to think through what has been going on the past 6 months, and take in to account the lies and half truths that have flowed from this couples mouths.

That's an intriquing question. If I had a good answer, I'd do a free lance article to publish elsewhere for big bucks.
You may not be aware of it, but there is one infamous commentator who has remarked that Rev Wright is correct in much of what he says. He is the only widely heard spokesperson I've heard say it. That would be Alex Jones.
Why don't more in the popular media back up at least some of what Rev. Wright has to say? As I doubt if they have changed their minds, I'm guessing its a lack of courage.

For Democrats saying Bush let 9/11 happen would be like Republicans saying that Clinton let the attacks on the Twin Towers in 93. I do not know if any Republican said anything stupid like that, but clearly Democrats have. For political reasons the Democrats said it, and for political reasons they have stopped. I do not believe that the DNC was so stupid to think the Bush let it happen, but it sounded good, so they ran with it. Know they are trying to replace Bush they have to grow up. Remember when the Republican us to call Democrats Socialist. Yes it worked for some, but for the most it did not. Are Democrats Socialist, yes, but instead of name calling, you need to prove it. The Democrats cannot prove that Bush knew it was going to happen, or even created it, so they have to stop talking about it.

The answer is simple. Only left wing extremists will vote for someone like that. Left wing extremists make up less than 40% of the voters in this country. He needs to get votes from moderates to win and he can't do that while preaching hate speech. As a result he is trying to distance himself from all that. Even Reverend Wright said that Obama is lying just to get more votes from moderates. It's the one and only time I've ever agreed with Wright.
