That is nice..I don't love sports that much that I read that first..I tend to read the obituaries first..since I am always curious as to whether I am still alive;+

I don't read the paper much, I do like to watch the news, but I missed it this morning, will catch it tonight. I am sure it was something bad, great things rarely make headline news.

You know ..you are right about that..seems people though perk up their ears when there is an air of excitement..so the media always uses the not so good stuff to air..Although our local channel has the "hometown hero" aired weekly .. +

We actually have an afternoon paper here. The top story was a local guy getting killed in a fall at a construction site.

Wow..that was in the Headlines..usually stories of such nature do not go on our front page.. Now if it were some Political person that this happened to ..that would be a different story. Thanks for sharing;)+

Our first topic is usually about the war in Iraq, then there might be a local wreck with two l8 wheeler trucks.

I didn't buy the newspaper today and didn't read online either. I think it must have been about the meeting of Iberoamerican Chiefs of State here in Montevideo, beginning next Friday.

I don't get the paper, but I am sure it was something on the negative side. Seems more and more that's how they sell the papers. I wish they would set aside one day a week to report nothing but "Good" news. I know it is out there and they do put those stories in the paper, but they are usually buried deep.
