Cast Your Worries Upon GodBecause He Cares For You.

I started a month's study on this verse, 1 Peter 5:7, last night in my Wednesday Night children's class at church. I have ages 2 through 11. I never thought it would be as attention getting as it did last night! My little fellers just listened and were astonished to know it was a sin to worry. I had to explain to them how the worry became a sin when we dwell on it and don't continually give it back to God. They thought it was funny when I first explained to them when something came to my mind to worry about I would tell God I wanted to give it to him and I knew God was in control. Then in a few minutes, I'd have to say God, it's me again, and I need to give this back to you again. Then again and again but that was how we were strengthened by giving it back to God each and every time. This sort of turned an light bulb on in their heads. They really did realize last night that it was okay to tell God we wanted to give our worry to Him and let Him take care of it. Then... this morning when I was taking my grand-children to school, my Grandson told me he really like the class last night. He said there was a lot in that verse he had to learn. He is nine years old. Isn't that awesome? These children are learning and realizing what most of us don't realize until we are up in years.

You are doing it right. We have to allow God to guide us in everything we do, from the small decisions to the large ones. It does give you such a peaceful and comforting feeling to know God is taking care of everything. Thanks for the post.

Amen to that. Its easier said than done as humans tend to cram their minds with worries and troubles. Thanks for the encouraging thoughts!

OH how special It is good that they got it. Even if he was the only one to 'get it' it was worth it. Your grandson sounds like a very special boy. How proud you must be of him.

Thank you and we think our grandson is pretty special. :-) But I saw on the faces of all the kids that they were starting to get it so I decided to run it on for the whole month. Have a blessed day!

That's awesome at a young age that they understand things such as this because I too didn't realize this until I was much older and still struggle at times with giving God my problems and then taking them back and then giving it back to him.

It's awesome and wonderful to cast our problems and those worries to God. It is noteworthy to know that there are people like you who take time to share the Word of God to kids. Keep up, your rewards are written in heaven. So let's pray that God will take care of our problems and help us to have victory and sing that song, "Victory in Jesus".
