Or.. It takes you away at some point that makes it hard for you to get back on your thoughts or maybe it totally gets you off-course from some work that needs dedication and concentration. There are, who drifts away with music to get some of the work load off but some works need attention as well. What types of music do you listen to when having some work done, do you incorporate it with your work? theres is a genre of music called trance.. what are your thoughts on this particular topic?, anything goes for me feel free to elaborate..thanks

I like music in general but there are some types of music which does not agree with my brain waves and I find myself getting distracted and I want that music to stop if possible. Sometimes when I am working I find myself humming and it is good when that happens because I am in tune with everything around and work proceeds very quickly.

i find music distracting when i am doing things around the house. i prefer it quiet if i can get quiet! the only time i really like background music on is during christmas when i am baking and decorating. then i like to put on christmas music and it brings back memories of childhood and days gone by.

I listen to any music. When I am doing chores I always make sure to listen to music because it helps me concentrate and do my work faster and better. There are times when I listen to music when I am doing homework because it helps me concentrate also especially when I am doing math. I love math and doing it with music on gives me a thrill. That sounds weird but it's true.

I have always enjoyed music. When I was in high school and got my first walkman (yes, with a tape) I would listen to it when I went to sleep. My mother always chewed me out for that because she thought I would strangle myself in my sleep. I would listen to music to go to sleep, when I travel, drive, do housework, work out - anything really. Although my mother did put a ban on music while studying, she sad it was too distracting. I think it was only distracting for her. I like music with a good beat, lyrics. I can't really say I listen to only one type of music. I would say I that I listen to country the least of all. After putting together a slide show for my grandfather's 90th birthday, I acquired an ear for big band music. Not that I listen to it all the time, but enjoy it now when I hear it. Jazz, rock, early rap, pop, punk, heavy metal, classic rock - it's all good to me.

When im doing my housework i just love to have music on,and usually i put the radio on,it keeps me motivated as well as cheerful,I like a station that has a bit of chat to it and usually they have a competition on the one that I listen to,thats Virgin radio, the latest prize they have given away has been a digital radio which is quite a good prize. My mum keeps saying oh why donyt you have a go.If the music is bouncy and beaty it just inspires you to keep going with the housework

well it depends on what kind of work is at hand , if it requires a lot of thinking and concentration, then i need silence and serenity to get the job done, but most of the time i do love listening to music while working. ;)

When you switch on to a music of your choice it makes a really lot different smoothness in a strenuous job that you are engaged in.You are not actually listening to the music in all earnestness ..yet you derive some sort of elation that makes the tough job all the more easier. Feel it !

I would like to say yes. Because it refreshes our mind to a greater extend. When we switch it on. We have an enjoyment. And the work we are doing may have more efficiency. Music is a traditional thing in my country India. I have heard that cows give more milk when they listen to music. And there are so many advantages of this.

Sometimes I like to listen to music while working, sometimes I hate it. But most often, I listen to music before I do something. If I need to be energetic, I listen to vigorous beats but if I need to be mellow and relax I listen to the tracks that suits the mood. I'm a writer (aspiring hehe) and sometimes I need to write stuff even though I had a bad day... in this moments I use music to call my muses and inspiration. i don't know about trance... I haven't heard of it yet. I like chanting and classical music though (sometimes) depending on my mood.

I love to have music on when I am doing housework, if I have music on when doing the cleaning then I can fly through it and it does not take me half as long as doing it without the music. I love dance music and pop and then loads of other stuff. I do not think that there is much music that I do not like.

I used to. Once I sat in front of the computer, the media center will be on. But recently, I don't care anymore. I would just turn on the TV and the sound in the background is enough for me. Then, now, I don't care at all. I turned on the TV but set it in mute. Am I odd? Maybe I just wanted some peace for now.

hi there, for me I actually prefer to put on some music especially when I am doing certain stuffs like studying my lessons. I get more concentration because of the music that I am currently listening to. I usually incorporate it sometimes when I do some things like performing the household chores. When it comes to jamming out of my friends, I would really love it when there are blending with music. I am more dedicated because I am a Music Lover... ^_^

I love music and have put it on when I am doing housework or even when I am here. There is a problem with that with me though. I get so into the music that what ever I am doing goes to the wayside. So I have found for me when ever I am doing anything it is best to keep the music off. That way I get things done.
