I have irritated bowel syndrome which means I cannot hold it and I would have to go in a garbage can if there was nothing else or dirty my underwear, so to answer your question, that would have to be a no.

I am supposed to make an appointment with a gastric specialist, and we will take it from there.

Yes I too have this problem, you have just reminded me that I need to get something to help me go as well. I am going on holiday in about 2 weeks and everytime we go on holiday for a week it is at least 5 days before I can go to the loo and I end up feeling ill. So this time I am going to get some stuff to take with me so I do not have this problem.

I am not sure I will probably go and ask in the chemist they are usually pretty good at suggesting things to take!!

I don't feel comfortable using the toilet anywhere else besides my home....even if it's a clean one at someone's place. I won't go unless I can help it.
My older son was also like that upto the age of 5 (even now sometimes). He would hold on (even when he was a baby) and wait till he got home and would rush to the toilet (even at age 2, he would refuse to go in a diaper or anyone else's toilet!)

How funny I came across this discussion today of all days. I am very unconfortable going other then at home. It takes me days to adjust when I am on vacation or away from home for a few days. By the time I do go its time to go home.
Now I started this response by saying today of all days because... I came home from work today to go to the bathroom. I walked in the door and my husband said what are you doing home? I told him and he laughed at me. He finds it very funny that I had to come home to go. I can't help it.. I can hardly go at my mothers house let alone at work!
So theres your funny for the day! Have a great one!

No, I dont felt the same. If i loke the place as if it is my own place. Nothing changes. I just make comparison as to where I live and the place i go. If it is nice how I wish my place is like that, if is not nice, I would say, my place is better.

I love the excitement of a new place. I don't need to get home to feel more normal again. I can go from place to place, and even there, find something that shows me I'm home. I'm a creature of the world, I'm a child of this planet, any where could be my home..

Hi there Jemina!
It's the same for me too. I don't really feel comfortable to a new place right away. And even when I'm at home, I prefer that it is quiet when I use the comfort room and I don't even know why. It just makes me feel more comfortable.

Anf if the literal thing, yes, I just cannot sleep at once and cannot use the comfort room regularly.

I'm exactly the same, but no-one else ever seems to understand!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one =D
Whenever I go on holidays to stay with someone else, I get temporarily constipated and unable to go, even though I usually run like clock work, morning and night, and occasionally in between.
It was especially bad when I was younger and would pig out on junk food at friend's places and be unable to relieve myself, so I'd get really bad pains until I was able to go home, where my body would start to work again straight away =P
Great discussion, and thanks for letting me know I'm not alone =)

I want to make a research about this thing because it's really puzzling me. I have been experiencing this ever since I was a child. First I thought it had something to do with the soil. But when I lived in Thailand where we live in tall buildings, I still experienced it.
Don't worry, when I find the answer I'll let you know.
