Like most Americans, and for that matter, people from all around the world... you're probably feeling the pinch in your wallet. But with these times of HIGHER gas prices, HIGHER utility bills, HIGHER food bills, and mass foreclosures...there is some good news..... Exxon-Mobil just reported they made 11 BILLION DOLLARS PROFIT!!! now this isn't as much profit as they made last year...so they might have to raise gas prices just a wee bit more.

LMAO... Do I detect a HINT of sarcasm? It's very apparent that they don't need a reason to raise gas prices. And I love that a raise in oil prices can send the gas up 30 cents per gallon but a drop in oil prices usually drops it at the pump about 3 cents a gallon.

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!! Thanks for sharing that wonderful news with us. I will sleep better tonight knowing the people of EXXON will not have a problem feeding their kids tomorrow, whilst I try to figure out how to squeeze this 9 gallons of gas that cost me $30!!!

Well, I guess it's even BETTER news than you thought since I understood this to be their profit for the first quarter of this year. I can't wait to hear how much their CEO gets in bonuses so I can send him a note of congratulations on a job well done - NOT!!! Annie

Gosh only 11 billion? Then they really must pull their socks up - and see how they can make us contribute to making them make at least, if not more, as the same amount for the previous year

Of course, they would never even consider making a little less and passing a bit of savings along to the consumer. Why should they? Demand remains high. And the oil men aren't cutting their profit.. The only people who care about gas and oil prices are people who aren't in the gas and oil business (not counting the gas station owners, who are actually losing money because they don't make their profit on gas but on the other things that people buy when they have money, like sodas, coffee, candy, etc.)
