I have a soon to be 3 year old boy and his father and I moved to Arkansas from Iowa a little over 3 weeks ago. Within the first week of being here our son developed *shingles* which the doctor said could come from stress. A week later he is attacked by *chiggers* and has little tiny chigger bites all over his legs and hands. We've done what we can to help him with the itching and all that comes along with this sort of situation, but I can't help but feel quilty for moving him away from the only home he's ever known, and then all this happens to him. I do however feel as if the stress is wearing away and he is becoming more accustom to the new living arrangements and what not. Any suggestions???????????

Just give him some time to adjust. Learning to deal with stress at a young age gives kids an advantage later in life, so don't feel guilty. At his age, he may not be vocal enough to voice his concerns, so take time to help him draw pictures or paint; lots of little kids will use their creativity to express feelings. He'll be just fine, don't worry!
