No, going to a church never had/has/will save a person.

No, churches are man made objects, built to gather religious people together, to get a greater manipulation effect on society. the gospel of Thomas says: "the kingdom of god is within you and all around you,it is not within buildings of stone and wood, split a piece of wood and you will find me, look under a stone and i am there"

hemabala12; If you believe in the bible, where in the bible did you read that church is not needed for salvation? If you go to church, why doing so if it cannot help you to be saved?

to rhykos7; I dont know where did you get your concept of the word "church" but biblically speaking, the bible tells us about what the church is Colossians 1:18 "And he(Christ)is the head of the body, the church;..." --definitely the church in the bible is not as what others conceptualize. Church, is not like an edifice or physical place either. The bible tells us that Christ is the head of the church, how come Christ became a head of something finite or physical, if Christ is a spirit/infinite. Do you mean that church(where Christ is the head) is not important in salvation? Ho Christ being a head of something which is not important? Is He nonsense?

Jesus Christ saves you and not any Church, but once you are saved you need to attend a church for worshipping God and fellowship of saints

No, you do not need to go to a church (building) to be saved. You are saved through Jesus Christ, alone. It does not state in the bible "you must be saved by Jesus + ____". However, once we are saved we should demonstrate our love for Him by getting baptized: this is first sign of obedience to the Lord and is scriptural according to the story of the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:27-39), by soulwinning: again using the story of the Ethiopian eunuch and by what Jesus Himself said in Matthew 28:18-20 and worshiping Him by attending a church with those that share our faith. Hebrews 10:25 tells us this. Sincerely in Christ, Leesa C. Eph.2:8,9

Insensatez, If you own a bible you will be able to look up the verses that I quoted in my post. Specifically, a church building cannot save you. It is Jesus, alone! He said in John 3:16,17 - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world not to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." Also, Jesus Himself was baptized by John the Baptist (His cousin) in Matthew 3:13-17. He demonstrated His love for God by obeying Him. You the original question but seem to not accept the answers given to you. To quote you "Please respond according to the bible". I did just that. All of the responses have told you in one form or another that you do not need a church (and from what I read people are speaking of the church building or church as the people themselves)to be saved. That is a fact. My question to you is what was the reason for your post?

In John 3:16,17 there were no words, not even one, that says we are saved by "Jesus Christ Alone". I have searched the entire KJV and nothing I have found. But, instead of Christ Alone, what was written there is that we can/are be saved by Jesus Christ, if we believe in Him. But, of course believing alone is not enough. Believing in Jesus Christ is just one of the steps for us to be saved. Believing in Him(Jesus Christ) means not just believing in His person but also on His Teachings and doctrines. Believing would be nonsense if we do not believe and accept His teachings, doctrines, and on things that he taught to His apostles. Saint Paul wrote to the Christian in Colossians 1:18 "And he(Christ) is the head of the body, the church:..."It is very clear in the verse that apostle Paul mentioned about Christ being the head of the body(Church). How come that Christ is the head of the body or the church? You've said that it is not needed for salvation, how would that be, logically, that would mean Christ is the head of body which is not needed for salvation. It would be nonsense.

iamprolife2005; My questions are: First: since you sight some verses, where did you read in the bible that we dont need a church in order to saved? Second: Where in the bible youve that we are saved through "Jesus Christ Alone"? Third: Where in the bible that after salvation to demonstrate our love to God we should be baptized? because you've said and I quoted "...once we are SAVED..." thanks!

no, the bible says believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, it doesn't say you need a church to be saved. Obviously to be saved you need to hear the gospel and that is more posible if you are in a church but it's not neccessary.
