5.30am in the morning, playing poker till with friends!! Sooooooo tired.......

Last night my friends came over, we started playing poker around 10pm. Cannot believe we played till 5.30am in the morning. None of us wanted to pack it up and hit the sack, we each put $20 in the pot and whoever had all the chips in at the end won the pot ($60). I was so close in winning, i wanted to stay up to win, lol. I came 2nd, no prize for me. That's okay, I had a great night, except now I am paying for it with only two hours sleep. It was lots of fun and laughter even though I lost. 
So have you ever stayed up really late playing a game before? If so what time and what game were you playing? Did you end up winning, was it worth staying up that late?

Hi kiran-will say I have never done that before-cant play poker for one and haven't been told either how to.don't think I could stay up that long just playing a game of cards-am glad you enjoyed it and had a good time but you must of been really tired though having little shanae to look after as well-hugs littleowl

Yes I was pretty tired the next day, still tired now, my friend stayed for 3 nights. Full house, we had 6 kids in total and 4 adults in the house.

More often that I should. My husband and I are both avid texas hold'em players and there have been many nights when we have stayed up all night playing with friends or playing online. When we are with friends my hubby generally wins but online I generally place within payout range.
We also got very addicted to Dungeons and Dragons Online, DDO, for a while. It's fun because you can play with friends from around the world and talk to them with headsets and mics. We made a friend in Australia so we ended up staying up many nights all night to hang out with her.
It's always worth it to have fun with friends.

Why do you avoid texas hold'em players, I love it? Dungeons and Dragons, sounds interesting, what is the website for that game? I agree it is worth is to have fun with friends.

So sorry, lol, I read your message wrong, I thought you said avoid texas holdem players, but you said avid. Do you play for real money with friends or just play money?

You must have enjoyed yourself through out the night and I think you know how to enjoy yourself. The fun and excitement of losing and winning the game, would have kept you busy, so that you fogot how soon the time passed. I could not enjoy this kind of opportunity, I wish! I could...LOL!

Yes you are right, it is enjoyable regardless of whether you win or lose. Last night we played again, this time I was smart and said it has to be continued the next day as I needed to catch up on sleep from the day before. Happy mylotting.

You are going to be so tired later on!! The only times I have ever stayed up really late are when I go out for a night out!! Then the latest I stayed up was the last time I went out and I went to bed at after 3am and that was hard enough. I could not stay up any later than that anymore, I cannot cope with how tired I feel the next day, it is horrible, especially when I have the kids around me all day and they always seem to play up more when they know I am tired!!

I don't know how I manage to survive the next day, I think I run on adrenalin all day. Can you believe that I had another late one, after only two hours sleep that night, last night I did not go to bed till 1 am in the morning. Atleast this time I had 5 hours sleep, lol. I am used to little sleep now after being pregnant and waking up for baby to feed.
