Were you/ are you afraid of certain animals?

My cousin is afraid in spiders and his siblings caught a spider. Fortunately, they found one big spider in their house, captured it and put it in a bottle. They said they gonna make it a pet (well I think it's just for scaring). So, I noticed my cousin not getting close to the spiders house. The next day the spider died (even though we've gave him food and proper ventilation). My cousin dind'nt know that the spider was already dead. So we made the spider out of it's house so that it can be more frightening. A few hours later my cousin arrived and his siblings, including me tried to scare him. He was really scared. He even ran and shouted like a girl which was a kinda funny for me. Now he knows that the spider was already dead by that time. And we already threw it to the window. How about you? Do you have similar incidents like this? Are you afraid of certain animals? If you are, what do you do when you encounter one?
