Do you bruise easily? I do, I have very pale skin and sometimes end up with about 5 bruise on one leg, sometimes wondering how I got thses bruises!! At the moment I have four bruises on the inside of one leg and it looks like someone has graabed my leg as they are spaced out like fingertips!! I get strange bruises and never know how I get them!

I think that is a feature of very pale skin as my skin is almost blue (as some people take great delight in telling me) and I always have some bruises with absolutely no idea what led to them appearing! Luckily though the bruises don't tend to last too long before they disappear but that may be cause I use Arnica on them too! xxx

Hey Foxfire I bet you are like me and everyone compares their tan to you to make it look better - even if they don't have a tan they look like they do next to me! lol I see you are in Edinburgh - I'm not that far away I'm in Stirling. Maybe it is a scottish thing! lol

They do indeed as I'm always that lovely bottle milk white colour winter and summer. It must be a Scottish thing I reckon. I'm about to dig out my sun tan lotion factor 30 as it's getting really sunny here. Hows the weather in Stirling?

My skin looks blue too. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one as it can look pretty weird sometimes. My bruises don't last long either especially if I use Arnica, that shows what a good product it is.

I didn't realise you bruised easily too. I've been like that, and when I was at University my friend made m go to the doctors as I got a huge purple bruise on my leg and I didn't know how it got there. The doctor ran some blood tests and discovered I had a slight blood disorder which doesn't effect my day to day life but is important for them to be aware of. My mum is the same and it is often hereditary. So it is nothing to worry about but see your doctor and get some blood tests done to find out if there is anything they should be aware of. Also if you're trying for a baby it is good to get a health MOT done first!!!

Your lucky to have friends to pester you!! If the doc takes blood from you do they not test for everything? I have had blood taken from me in the past and if they tested it for something could they not pick up another blood problem?? Thats if they did test it, who knows they could be vampires and thought my blood might be a good snack!! Yeah Ive watched too much Buffy thanks to the boyf!! lol The bruises never last long but its strange how they appear and you never realised you banged yourself!! I will get a health MOT done, promise!! x

Ok, I'll make sure I go along then. I'll be first in the queue!?!? hehe Thanks for informing about blood! =p

Yes you'd better keep your promise! Unfortunately there are so many blood tests out there that they can never test for everything. However if you tell the doc your symptoms they'll give you the relevant tests and do a full blood count. Non-serious things like this rarely come up in standard blood tests.

I bruise easily but heal quickly too. Trouble is as you get old, a knock on the hand or a love bite from your dog leaves red blotches. Funny how you can knock yourself without thinking and then wonder where the blood is coming from! haha

Love bites from the dog?? It is easy to knock a body part and then wonder where the bruise came from!!

I never used to bruise easily but lately if I just touch something wrong I will get a buise. My grandmother bruised really easily if you just touched her it would leave a gigantic bruise on her she had such thin skin.

Yes I do sometimes bruise easily, the worst I notice this is on my legs, usually I get a big whopping bruise on the top of my leg and I cannot for the life of me understand how it got there. With it being so big I would think that I must remember how it got there because it must have hurt!!

Me too. Unfortunately I do a martial art so sometimes it look like I've been beaten up as I have huge bruises all over my arms and legs. Maybe it has something to do with pale skin as I don't tan and have given up trying to get one as I just burn.

I think it is something to do with pale skin as I also burn easily like my mum unlike my brothers who take after my dad and tan easily!! Unless its a woman thing!! lol
